This October, Angela Cartwright is heading back to Salzburg October 5th - —one of the most beautiful places on earth and the magical home of The Sound of Music.

I would love for you to come along.
Together we’ll wander through the very places where the story came to life,. Along the way I’ll share my personal memories from filming the movie and what it was like playing Brigitta von Trapp as a young girl in Austria.  This journey isn’t just about seeing the locations—it’s about experiencing them. We’ll explore the city’s history and beauty, enjoy wonderful Austrian food (yes, there will be apple strudel!), and soak in the scenery that made this film so unforgettable.  And of course… there will be singing.  I have a few delightful surprises planned as well—special moments that will make this trip truly memorable for everyone who joins us. 60 Years the Sound of Music Anniversary Gala:

A once-in-a-lifetime event with the international Sound of Music family.
A must see concert for all Sound of Music fans !

The event and the location promise to be iconic: Set in the famous festival hall which was the original place where the concert scene in the movie was shot, the Salzburg  State Theatre in cooperation with Salzburg Land Tourism presents an all-star event celebrating the 60th anniversary of the one and only movie which is so connected with its Austrian legacy.

The gala will feature original scenes from the musical and will bring the original von Trapp family as well as original stars of the movie into one place which will turn this event into a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Nicholas Hammond who played Friedrich  in the original movie "The Sound of Music" will co-host the gala event and will be joined by other stars of the original movie.

Join fellow music fans, and our beloved host Melissa Peterman for this Hollywood Bowl tradition. Sing to your heart's content in an 18,000-person choir while watching the Oscar-winning film on the big screen. Be sure to arrive early to participate in the pre-show costume contest—slip into some lederhosen, toss on a nun outfit, or repurpose your curtains if you must!
